Notes
General Note
The Moran Plant was a three-story, coal fired power plant that provided electricity to Burlington from 1954 until its decommissioning in 1986. Owned by the city of Burlington after 1986, the plant sat vacant and deteriorating as the waterfront transformed from an industrial center to a place of recreation and an important community asset. In 2018, Burlington accepted the FRAME concept, an ambitious plan that restored public access to this part of the waterfront, remediating, stabilizing and activating a derelict site and and creating an iconic Burlington landmark that alludes to the area's industrial past.
